Do you feel like you are constantly striving to do better, to be better?

Does this ever make you feel stuck, or trapped?
Like it feels as though constantly working, trying, achieving, and hustling is the only way you now how to do things?

It's very common for people to feel this way, especially in our busy modern culture.

But I am curious...
Do you feel well-rested when you wake of a morning? Or do you feel exhausted?

Do you feel truly productive on days where you’re working? Or do you feel like you’ve accomplished nothing at the end of the day?

Do you nourish yourself and care for yourself regularly? Or are you an afterthought in your daily life?

These are all signs that you could be dealing with maladaptive perfectionism.
This term essentially describes the subconscious patterns and programs wired into your nervous system which directly affect your thoughts, beliefs, and your behaviour each and every day.

These ways of feeling inform our ways of thinking, and these thoughts that arise within us are what fuel our everyday behaviour, and our way of being.

Such maladaptive patterns within the nervous system can contribute to:
Mental fatigue and brain fog
Overextending beyond energetic capacity
Over giving, at the expense of one's own wellbeing
Physical fatigue
Burnout
Indecision or fear of uncertainty, resulting in passing up opportunities
Never feeling on top of things (like there is never enough time, space, or energy for all you want to do)
Feeling like a failure, despite trying so hard not to fail
Deep feelings of inadequacy which ripple out into all areas of life

If you are experiencing any of the above, the next thing to ask yourself is:

Are these thoughts / behaviours / ways of being serving me?
Are they helping me to grow and develop as a person?
Do they allow me to function with energy, vitality, and enthusiasm in my relationships?
Do they contribute to feelings of joy and contentment in my life?
Are they contributing to my sense of fulfilment and purpose?
If you answered “No” to any of the above, then this might be the time to acknowledge that something needs to change.
If these ways of being are not serving your health, your wellbeing, your sense of self, your ability to communicate your needs, your relationships with others, your confidence, or your purpose, then it would make sense to change them, wouldn’t it?
It would make sense to create new ways of being, based on new beliefs and thought patterns, which do serve you in all the ways that the current patterns are not.
Thankfully, this is something you can do!
In fact it’s something you can do efficiently and safely from the comfort of your own home.
It’s something I use every day for myself and for the people I work with, because it cuts right to the chase, without any fluffing around.
I’m talking about Emotion Release Technique (ERT).
What's the big deal about Emotion Release Technique?
It’s unfortunately not enough to just use your willpower to say, "yep I’m gonna consciously decide to behave differently."
The thing is, that just won’t stick.

You've probably tried it before.
You actually need to go beyond the conscious, thinking, intellectual brain, and go to that part of your mind that runs the show 95% of the time, and that’s your subconscious mind.
The way I help people tap into this part of themselves is with Emotion Release Technique (ERT).
It’s quick, it’s efficient, it cuts to the chase, without you having to take a deep dive into the depths of your mind, because it works with emotions, and emotions are simply ENERGY in MOTION.
These emotions subtly but potently impact our everyday thoughts and behaviours, especially perfectionistic ones.
I know what it’s like to feel trapped and boxed in by these ways of thinking, which are hugely restrictive, very harsh on the self, very critical on the self.
I am all too aware of the negative impacts this has on self-esteem, confidence, and general wellbeing, as it's the reality I have faced myself throughout childhood, adolescence, and adulthood, particularly spending a lot of time in academia, and then venturing into the business world when I decided to start my own naturopathic clinical practice.

I know it can feel like "second nature" to over-strive.
I also know how over-striving at all costs can damage our health, relationships, and rob us of opportunities in life.

Since discovering and learning how to use emotion release work clinically, I have found this is an absolute game-changer both for myself and the people I support in clinic.

The great thing about understanding how you think and why you think the way you do is not only the insights you gain about yourself, but most importantly, the power you gain to actively change your subconscious patterns.

I want to support you in releasing the old, familiar pattern of perfectionism and the underlying patterns fuelling it, so you can make space for new ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving which honour yourself and what you really need to thrive.
That’s why I’ve created an ERT program targeted specifically to support you in addressing and shifting these maladaptive perfectionist patterns within your subconscious mind.
What's included

One 60 minute group Emotion Release Technique session each week on a Saturday for the duration of 12 weeks.

Each week we will focus on relevant patterns that both contribute to or stem from perfectionism, as we will actively work to process the underlying emotional and subconscious elements driving these.
The topics we will work through each week will include:

Fear of failure
Fear of success
Over-striving and Workaholism
Fear of letting go and trusting
Controlling behaviours
Feeling unsupported
The feeling of being compelled to do everything on your own
Overthinking and “Analysis Paralysis”
Procrastination
Low self-esteem and self-worth
Lack of self-trust
Negative self-talk and self-criticism
Fear of change and uncertainty
And more...
What's the investment?
The entire 12 week Life Beyond Perfectionism Online Group ERT Program is available to you at $600. This works out to $50 per session.

One-on-one ERT sessions are $135 each, so the value of enrolling in the group program is amazing!
You also will experience the added benefit of working in a group context, as the sense of community and holding space for each other in session is something both very sacred and supportive, whilst also providing another level of healing which just isn't the same with one-on-one work.

But hey, don't take my word for it!

Have a look at what previous participants have said...
Gabby has a brilliant way of understanding people and creating a safe space to support them in ERT. This has genuinely helped reprogram aspects of my worldview that I didn’t even realise were there. My nervous system feels more relaxed as a result, and I feel more in-tune with myself than I have in years.

Before participating in the Life Beyond Perfectionism program, I was still focused on making sure everything was perfect, which caused inaction. I noticed as the weeks went on, I started taking action in a positive direction, something I really hoped I could achieve. I even delivered a presentation that while it wasn't perfect, it was good enough to land me second place! It would not have gone as well if I had remained focused on making it perfect, rather than making sure the passion was there. It was really lovely doing ERT in a group setting. I felt less alone in my journey and also learned a lot from the other participants. ERT made me feel more balanced in my body and more connected. I would absolutely recommend this program and Gabby to anyone who is looking to make a shift in their lives.

Whether you're a novice or experienced with ERT, if you'd like to heal perfectionist tendencies, give Gabby's Life Beyond Perfectionism programme a go, you won't regret it. It's filled with insights, support and likeminded individuals. As far as I'm concerned, it's the most effective and enjoyable way to release conscious and unconscious trapped emotions.
